Rajagiri has been the cradle of Kerala Catholic Students League activities for over many years. The management always stands for the smooth and effective conduct of K. C. S. L. programmes in the school. K. C. S. L. plays a vital role in moulding the character of the students upto a certain extent. It sustains the mental and moral strength of the members through a weekly prayer meeting held on each Tuesday in the Boarding Chapel. The Prayer is mainly led by a group of animators from the staff. In addition to social and religious topics, intellectual, substantive debates where Cause and Effect Topics are discussed are sometimes arranged at meetings. The K. C. S. L. members are always on the front rendering active leadership and participation in the First Friday Eucharistic celebrations in the monastery chapel. They take initiative in donating books and pens. These articles are offered during the offertory, which will in turn be given to the needy children from the local schools. They take part in zonal, district and state level programmes and competitions organized by the K. C. S. L. The members visit places of religious and spiritual importance which has a spiritually ennobling influence on them. K. C. S. L. thus plays a very important role in the character formation of our students through the practice of its motto, 'Faith, study and service'. |
