Sapientia 2008

Inter School Quiz on General Knowledge, Sapientia 2008 was conducted in the Rajagiri School Auditorium on 24th October 2008. There were 46 teams in the preliminary round held in the morning. It was followed by a discussion round on the questions and answers of the preliminary round. After lunch all the participants and students, parents and staff of the school assembled back in the auditorium to view the final round. Quiz masters were Mr. Martin George and Mrs. Sangeetha Gopikrishnan. Carmel Higher Secondary School, Chalakudy, Bhavan's Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kakkanad, Bhavans Vidhyamandir (Team A), Elamakkara, Rajagiri Public School, Kalamassery, Bhavans Vidhyamandir (Team B), Elamakkara and Jyothi Nivas Public School, Aluva were the teams qualified for the finals. There was 8 round in the quiz. Scorer was Mr. Niyas Mohammed. Anand V Ganapathy and Ashok S Menon of Bhavans Vidhyamandir, Elamakkara were the winners. They were given Ever Rolling Trophy, Cash Rs. 2000/-, Individual trophies, 2 GB Pen Drive and Certificate. Deepak Johnson and Rose Sebastian of Carmel HSS were the runners up and were given Ever Rolling Trophy, Cash Rs. 1000/- , Individual trophies, 2 GB Pen Drive and Certificate. All other participants in the final round were also given 2 GB pen drive. Prize distribution was done by Dr. B Umadathan, Prof. & HOD, Forensic Medicine, AIMS. Fr. Varghese Manickanamparabil CMI, Principal, felicitated the gathering and honoured the chief guest by giving a memento.
