We are immensely happy to announce that the celebration of the much-awaited annual interschool fiesta of FABULA will be held for three days in succession at Rajagiri Higher Secondary School, Kalamassery from October 30-November 1, 2007.   The Management, PTA, Staff and Students are working together to conduct this mega event to pay a tribute to the great visionary and educationist Rev. Fr. Francis Sales, CMI, the Founder of Rajagiri School.   We most sincerely solicit your esteemed partonage to make the festival a grand success.   And we thank all the well-wishers and patrons of the school who helped us conduct Fabula successfully last year.

Fabula is conceived as an interschool contest in arts and sports to highlight the importance of process-oriented and child-centered learning in education.   It fosters an appreciation of creativity and encourages innovative approaches in dance and music.   Moreover, it enhances health, builds up teamwork, promotes friendship, and perfects emotional growth.   The contest is held in the following disciplines:

  1. All Kerala Basketball Tournament for boys and girls under 18 (on Oct. 30,  31 & Nov. 1)
  2. All Kerala Table Tennis Tournaments for boys and girls under 14 and under 19 (on Oct. 30)
  3. Fusion Dance for students of classes VIII-XII (on Nov. 1)

As many as 500 artists and sportspersons from various schools in Kerala will showcase the best of their talents in the sprawing campus of Rajagiri Higher Secondary School, Kalamassery.   The Rajagiri fraternity is equipped itself with much fanfare to receive them.   This year we have added three new events for the contest.   They are Basketball Tournament for girls, Table Tennis Tournament for boys and girls, and Fusion Dance contest for students of classes VIII-XII.

As in the past year, there is no registration fee for participating in the festival.   All participants are provided with meals on the days of event.   A certificate as well as a prize/trophy is given to every contestant.   The winners and runners-up schools are awarded ever-rolling trophies and prizes.

The overall expenditure for the conduct of Fabula is estimated at Rs. 4 lakh.   The PTA is significantly supporting this programme by raising fund from sponsors and well wishers of the school.   The school is bringing out a souvenir on this ocassion.
